“It’s always special playing at Chepauk against Chennai because of the fans. Not only CSK but every team, it is nice to play in their home ground,” Patidar ne match ke baad kaha jab unhe Player of the Match ka award diya gaya.
RCB ne pehle batting karte hue aggressive intent dikhaya aur 196/7 ka strong total lagaya. Phil Salt</strong ne 32 runs (16 balls) ki fast-paced inning kheli aur Devdutt Padikkal</strong ne 27 off 14 balls banaye. Jab CSK chase karne aayi, tabhi unka start hi poor tha. Josh Hazlewood</strong ne pehle Rahul Tripathi</strong ko sirf 5 runs par out kiya, phir CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad</strong ko bina score kiye pavilion bhej diya. Rachin Ravindra</strong ne thoda resistance diya with 41 runs, aur Ravindra Jadeja</strong (25 off 19) aur MS Dhoni</strong (30* off 16) ne end mein kuch runs jodhe, lekin CSK sirf 146/8 tak pahuch paayi.
“Ball thoda stop ho raha tha aur batting easy nahi thi. Chepauk mein khelna hamesha special hota hai, especially CSK ke khilaaf. Target 200 tha kyunki humein pata tha chase tough hoga. Livingstone ki bowling aur Hazlewood ke initial overs ne match palat diya,” Patidar ne aur bola.
CSK ka agla match March 30</strong ko Rajasthan Royals</strong ke khilaaf hoga Guwahati mein, jabki RCB April 2</strong ko Gujarat Titans</strong se takraayegi. RCB ke liye ye jeet sirf ek match nahi, ek era ka end tha.
