Lucknow Super Giants ke star all-rounder Shardul Thakur IPL 2025 ke shuruaati matches se kaafi frustrated dikh rahe hain. Reason? Ek ke baad ek high-scoring matches! Thakur ne BCCI se appeal ki hai ki pitch conditions ko thoda balanced banaya jaye – jahan na sirf batters ka raj ho, balki bowlers ko bhi mile ek fair mauka.
IPL 2024 se lekar ab tak, Impact Player rule ne batting ko ek alag hi level par pahuncha diya hai. Teams extra batting depth ke saath ja rahi hain aur aggression ka level bhi sky high hai. Shuruaati IPL 2025 matches mein teams 230+ ka score chaar baar cross kar chuki hain. Is beech, Shardul ki demand hai ek fair bat-ball contest ki.
“It is not what I want, but it is what the bowlers want. A lot of them might not be outspoken or they might not get a chance to speak in front of media or give interviews about the pitch conditions. All that the bowlers are asking is to prepare the pitch in such a manner that the game hangs in balance and it should not be just one-sided where batters are coming and smashing us, because all we want is a fair chance and fair opportunity in the game,” – Shardul Thakur
Ab tak ke 11 matches mein, 10 dafa teams ne 200+ ka score banaya hai. Sunrisers Hyderabad ne toh season ke pehle hi match mein 286/6 ka score daal diya – jo unka almost all-time best hai. Aur pichle saal 74 matches mein 200+ scores ke 41 instances the! Clearly, batting ka zamaana chal raha hai.
Thakur ne Impact Player rule ko ek entertainment tool toh mana, lekin yeh bhi kaha ki high scores ka main reason sirf yeh rule nahi hai – pitches bhi ismein equally zimmedar hain.
“The Impact Player rule is an entertainment factor and games change a lot, but that these 250 scores are being made is not only because of this rule change, but also because of the way the pitches are being made. We are just saying as a bowling unit that give us a fair and square chance where we can get a batsman out,” – Shardul Thakur
Toh kya IPL 2025 mein bowlers ko milega unka deserved respect? Ya batting ka bash chalti rahegi bina kisi break ke? Ab dekhna yeh hai ki BCCI kuch action leti hai ya nahi.
