Mumbai Indians (MI) ne Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ko IPL 2025 ke ek high-voltage match mein 8 wickets se karara jawab diya. Yeh match 31 March, Monday ko Wankhede Stadium mein khela gaya jahan Mumbai ne apne fans ko jeet ka tohfa diya – woh bhi full style mein!
MI ke liye match ka sabse bada highlight tha unka uncapped debutant Ashwani Kumar, jisne apne sirf 3 overs mein 4 wickets lekar KKR ki batting ki kamar tod di. Sirf 24 runs diye, aur KKR ka scoreboard sirf 116 par ruk gaya. Is zabardast performance mein unka saath diya Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Vignesh Puthur, aur Mitchell Santner ne, jinhone collectively KKR ke batting lineup ko choke kar diya.
KKR ki taraf se sirf Angkrish Raghuvanshi ne thoda fight dikhaya – unhone 16 balls par 26 runs banaye. Baaki sab toh jaise pitch par aaye hi out hone. KKR ke captain Ajinkya Rahane khud bhi zyada kuch nahi kar paye – sirf 11 runs banaaye 7 balls par. Aur match ke baad press conference mein unka gussa saaf dikhayi diya.
“Collective batting failure, it was a good wicket to bat on. 180-190 would have been a good total on this pitch. We expect that (here), it has good bounce. When you are fighting against the bounce, that is what we did, you have to use it sometimes – we have to learn really fast. Bowlers were trying their best but not much runs on the board. We kept on losing wickets – four in the powerplay and after that, it was difficult to consolidate. You need one batter to bat through and stay till the end but that did not happen.“
Ajinkya ne saaf keh diya ki pitch par koi problem nahi thi – problem thi KKR ke batting mein consistency ki kami. Jab aap chaar wickets powerplay mein kho dete ho, toh match jeetna almost impossible ho jaata hai. KKR ke bowlers ne apna pura effort diya, lekin run board par hote tabhi toh defend karte!
Is crushing defeat ke baad KKR ko apni batting strategy pe serious kaam karna padega agar unhe IPL 2025 mein aage tak jaana hai. Waqt kam hai, aur competition zyada.
