Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ke head coach Michael Hussey ne ek aisa hint diya hai jisse fans ka excitement level sky high ho gaya hai. Aane wale IPL 2025 clash vs Delhi Capitals ke liye MS Dhoni captaincy kar sakte hain. Yeh match MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai mein khela jaayega.
Is speculation ki wajah hai Ruturaj Gaikwad ki injury, jo unhe pichle match mein Rajasthan Royals ke khilaaf hui thi. Elbow pe lagi chot ke baad abhi tak woh pura fit nahi ho paaye hain. Agar Gaikwad nahi khelte, toh CSK ek baar phir apne sabse reliable leader MS Dhoni ki taraf dekhegi.
“He is still sore and we would take a call as to how he bats in the nets today. If he doesn’t play, not sure who will lead,” Hussey ne bataya.
Jab unse poocha gaya ki captaincy kaun karega agar Gaikwad nahi khelte, toh Hussey ne ek cryptic jawab diya:
“I don’t think we’ve actually thought about that too much. Well, I haven’t thought about it too much. I’m sure (Stephen) Fleming and Rutu (Gaikwad) have thought about that.”
Phir unhone ek aur zabardast clue diya:
“But we’ve got some young guy coming through. He’s behind the stumps. Maybe he could do a good job. He’s got a bit of experience in the role, so maybe he could do it, but I’m not exactly sure, to be honest.”
Yeh “young guy behind the stumps” obviously kisi aur ki taraf ishara nahi balki MS Dhoni ki taraf hai — jo IPL ka ek legendary naam ban chuke hain.
CSK ka IPL 2025 mein ab tak ka performance kuch khaas nahi raha. Team ne ab tak 4 matches khele hain, jinmein sirf ek jeet hi mili hai. Points table mein woh 8th position par hai. Aise mein ek experienced leader ka wapas aana game-changer ho sakta hai.
Dhoni ne IPL mein 5 titles jeete hain, jo kisi bhi team ke saath joint-most hai. 2024 se pehle unhone captaincy chhod di thi aur Gaikwad ko full-time captain banaya gaya tha. Lekin agar team pressure mein ho, toh Dhoni ka comeback ek masterstroke sabit ho sakta hai.
