IPL 2025 mein Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ki performance fans ke liye kaafi disappointing rahi hai. April 9 ko Punjab Kings (PBKS) ke khilaaf milne wali 18-run ki karari haar ke baad, CSK ke head coach Stephen Fleming ne post-match press conference mein apni team ke flaws par khulkar baat ki.
Fleming ne bataya ki team ki sloppy fielding aur top order ka inconsistent performance unki sabse badi problem ban chuka hai. Unka kehna tha ki CSK ne game ke crucial moments mein pressure handle nahi kiya, jiska pura fayda PBKS ne uthaya.
“The game was really lost in the field, I thought we were sloppy in the field, and we just lacked accuracy under pressure at certain times. We were put under pressure by a fine innings [from Arya] but we’ve got to be better than that in terms of shutting it down. So that’s where the game got away from us,” Fleming ne kaha.
CSK ke liye sabse badi mushkil bani Priyansh Arya ki explosive batting, jinhone sirf 42 balls mein 103 runs jod kar IPL history ka fastest century banaya by an uncapped player. Arya ki is dhamakedar innings ki wajah se Punjab ne 219/6 ka massive total khada kiya, jo CSK ke liye kaafi bada sabit hua.
“If you’re going to win the IPL you need your top three-four to get a majority of the runs. We haven’t been doing that, so it was pleasing that we got off to a more solid start. We weren’t able to just maintain a high momentum through the middle… It’s something we’ll review,” Fleming ne joda.
CSK ne powerplay mein achha start liya tha – Rachin Ravindra (36 off 23) aur Devon Conway (69 off 49) ne 59 runs jode. Lekin jaise hi Ravindra aur captain Ruturaj Gaikwad out hue, team ka momentum tut gaya.
Middle overs mein Shivam Dube ne thodi fight dikhayi, lekin jab unexpectedly Devon Conway ko retired out kiya gaya aur MS Dhoni ko number 5 par bheja gaya, to fans bhi hairan reh gaye. Dhoni ne 12-ball 27 run banaye, lekin unki entry bhi match nahi bacha paayi. Ravindra Jadeja (9 off 5) bhi kuch khaas nahi kar paye, aur CSK sirf 201/5 tak hi pahuch payi.
Fleming ne maana ki top-order consistently runs nahi bana pa raha hai, jo poore season mein ek badi concern rahi hai. Ab tak 5 matches khelne ke baad CSK sirf ek match jeet payi hai aur IPL 2025 points table mein ninth position par hai.
CSK ka agla mukabla April 11 ko Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ke khilaaf hai – dekhna hoga ki kya Fleming ke teekhe shabdon ke baad team apna turnaround kar paati hai ya nahi.
