Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star Jitesh Sharma is feeling pretty confident ahead of his team’s upcoming IPL 2025 encounter with Delhi Capitals (DC). According to Jitesh, RCB has the upper hand going into the match, thanks to their impressive performance in away games, including some tough victories. Currently sitting at number three in the points table with three wins out of four, RCB looks strong. On the other hand, DC, led by Axar Patel, is at the top of the table, having won all three of their matches so far.
In a recent interview, Jitesh shared the team’s thoughts on their chances against DC:
“We have the upper hand because we have played away games and won those tough matches. Also, our batting lineup is strong; everyone has chipped in. But in DC, I think they’re relying on just three players. So, it’s going to be an exciting challenge,” Jitesh said.
Jitesh also spoke about RCB’s approach this season, emphasizing how the team’s success has come from playing smart, rather than purely aggressive cricket. He acknowledged that while RCB’s aggressive style has been effective, the key to their good run has been their intelligent cricketing approach.
“I felt as if Bumrah just came back from the ICC Champions Trophy. He’s so accurate. He’s properly fit and has done all the necessary tests. Right now, he’s at the peak of his performance,” Jitesh added, praising RCB’s star player.
RCB will face DC on April 9 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Historically, the two teams have played 31 matches against each other, with RCB winning 19 and DC winning 11. One match ended without a result. The upcoming match is surely one to watch!
