WATCH: Riyan Parag’s Heated Argument with Umpire After Controversial Dismissal vs Gujarat Titans! 😱

In a thrilling IPL 2025 match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT), a controversial moment unfolded when RR’s star player, Riyan Parag, got into a heated argument with the on-field umpire after being dismissed. The incident took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the seventh over of the match.

Parag, who was looking set at 26 runs, was batting alongside his captain, Sanju Samson, when he faced pacer Kulwant Khejroliya. The ball seemed to pass through to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler, with Parag trying to guide it to the third man. The on-field umpire gave him out, ruling that he had edged the delivery.

But Parag wasn’t convinced. He opted for a DRS review, which showed a faint spike on UltraEdge as the ball went past his bat. Despite the evidence, the third umpire upheld the on-field decision, sending Parag back to the pavilion. Parag, visibly frustrated, paused to argue with the umpire, expressing his belief that the spike was caused by his bat touching the ground and not an actual edge.

The clip of this intense exchange quickly went viral on social media, with fans debating whether Parag’s dismissal was fair or not. Here’s a look at the viral clip:

Riyan Parag had captained RR for the first three matches of the IPL 2025 season while regular skipper Sanju Samson was sidelined due to a finger injury. Parag has scored a total of 135 runs in five innings at a stunning strike-rate of 160.71.

As for the match itself, GT set a challenging total of 217/6 in their 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant 82 from Sai Sudharsan. RR, in response, was bowled out for 159 in 19.2 overs. Currently, RR sits at seventh in the points table, having won just two out of their five matches this season.

RR’s next challenge is against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 13, 2025, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Will they bounce back or face another defeat? Stay tuned!
