RCB’s Green Jersey in IPL 2025: Know Why They’re Going Eco-Friendly Against RR!

RCB is Going Green! 🌱

In their upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 13, 2025, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be donning a unique green jersey. The jersey, made from recycled fabric, is part of their ‘Go Green’ initiative, which is all about raising awareness for environmental conservation, including planting trees and fighting global warming.

Why the Green Jersey?

The main goal behind this initiative is to make people more conscious about our planet’s health and to inspire them to take action towards a greener future. RCB’s skipper, Rajat Patidar, will also present a plant to RR’s captain, Sanju Samson, during the toss as a symbolic gesture of this eco-friendly movement.

“For us, it’s about being bold, both on and off the pitch. Our green jerseys are more than just a symbol; they are a call to action. As proud representatives of the Garden City, sustainability is a natural priority for us. Through this initiative, we aim to leverage the cultural and social power of RCB to drive awareness and inspire fans to take small steps towards conservation.” – Rajesh Menon, COO, Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB is currently sitting in the fourth spot on the IPL 2025 points table with 6 points, having won 3 of their 5 matches so far. They are all set to face RR in a high-stakes game to climb higher in the rankings.

RCB’s Stats in Green Jersey

RCB has previously worn the green jersey in 14 matches, winning 4 of them, losing 9, and 1 match ending without a result. Let’s see if the ‘Go Green’ initiative brings them more success on the field!
