IPL 2025, RCB vs RR: The high-stakes match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) took an interesting turn as both teams made key decisions ahead of the game. RCB’s captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and surprisingly chose to bowl first against RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on April 13. Despite a home loss to Delhi Capitals (DC) in their previous match, Patidar decided to go with the same playing XI.
“We will bowl first. Surface looks pretty hard and good. We will know how the pitch behaves. This is to raise awareness to plant more trees. Same team for us,” Patidar shared after winning the toss.
On the other hand, RR’s captain, Sanju Samson, made a significant change to his team for today’s match. He brought in Sri Lankan spin-bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, replacing Afghanistan’s left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi.
“Actually, we also wanted to bowl first. Normally it gets better to bat here, that’s the local info. We know the conditions, and if we respect the opposition and play to our potential, I think we’ll be fine. Ups and downs are part of the game, but we can’t allow doubts in the dressing room. Hasa is back. Hasaranga will replace Farooqi,” Samson explained at the coin toss.
