IPL 2025 ke beech, ek baar fir se Rohit Sharma ke future ko lekar buzz ban gaya hai. Lekin iss baar baat retirement advice ki nahi, balki ek zabardast comeback aur ek heartwarming dad moment ki hai!
Former Aussie captain Michael Clarke ne apne podcast ‘Beyond23 Cricket’ mein Rohit ko salah di: “45 tak khelo aur fir retire ho jao”. Clarke ne Rohit ke recent second baby ke arrival par bhi badhai di.
“Huge congratulations on your boy. Super happy for you. You’ve got plenty of time to be a dad. You can be a dad and still play. Play till you’re 45 and then retire,”
Lekin Rohit ka jawaab equally epic tha – ek perfect mix of humour aur emotion:
“I am going home tomorrow. So just one day of being dad,”
Clarke bhi phir emotional ho gaye aur bole:
“That’s the other thing a lot of people don’t realise. One day at home feels like 2 weeks. Your own bed, your family, the comfort of being home and seeing both your kids.”
Rohit ne apni personal life ke ek emotional chapter ko bhi share kiya – 2018 mein apni pehli beti Samaira ke janam ke waqt ka ek regret:
“2018 Australia tour ke dauraan mujhe ek Test miss karke ghar aana tha, lekin main ek din late ho gaya. Boxing Day Test chal raha tha, Australia 7 down the tea pe. Socha flight mil jaayegi, lekin Cummins aur Lyon ne pura session kheech liya. Flight miss ho gayi aur main delivery ke waqt nahi pahunch paya.”
Iss baar jab unka second baby, Ahan, hua, Rohit ne BCCI se paternity leave li aur khul ke bola:
“New Zealand ke khilaaf Test series ke baad maine BCCI se bola ki main bas ghar par rehna chahta hoon. BCCI ne turant kaha, ‘Jaao, take your time’. Koi pressure nahi tha. Aur dekho, Australia aise jagah hai jahan cricket khelna sabko pasand hai – lekin iss baar family pehle thi.”
Professional level pe agar dekha jaye, toh Rohit IPL 2025 mein filhal thoda struggle kar rahe hain. Pichhle 5 matches mein unhone sirf 56 runs banaye hain, average sirf 11.20 ka hai. Ab sabki nazar MI ke next match par hai jo SRH ke against 17 April ko hoga.
