IPL 2025 mein Glenn Maxwell ka form kisi nightmare se kam nahi raha, aur is par Cheteshwar Pujara ne apna gussa khul kar dikhaya hai. Maxwell, jo Punjab Kings (PBKS) ke liye khel rahe hain, ab tak 6 matches mein sirf 41 runs bana paaye hain – average sirf 8.20 ka!
Pujara ne ESPNCricinfo T20 Time Out show par kaha ki Maxwell ka approach IPL ke liye bilkul bhi serious nahi lag raha. “Agar koi aur player hota, toh usse team se bahar kar diya jaata,” Pujara ne kaha. “Par kyunki yeh Maxwell hai, usse baar-baar mauka diya jaa raha hai.”
Maxwell ke poor form ka silsila sirf is saal tak simit nahi hai. Pichhle IPL season mein bhi unhone RCB ke liye sirf 32 runs banaye the pehle 6 matches mein. Uske baad unhone break liya, par vaapas aane ke baad bhi sirf 21 runs hi jod paaye agle 4 matches mein. RCB ne unhe release kiya aur PBKS ne Rs 4.2 crore mein unhe wapas kharida.
Maxwell ka spin bowling ke khilaaf struggle bhi spotlight mein hai. Pujara ne kaha ki yeh wahi Maxwell hain jo 8-10 saal pehle the – casual, aur inconsistent. “Unhe samajhna hoga ki yeh unke liye ek mauka hai. Jab aap consistently fail ho rahe ho, toh ek line hoti hai casual rehne aur genuinely mehnat karne ke beech. Maxwell ko ab jagna padega,” unhone kaha.
“You need to realise you’re getting an opportunity to play and be part of a franchise where things are at stake. And there are times a player can get casual, they’re not worried about what’s happening. I’m sure he wants to perform but when you’re not performing there’s a fine line of being casual and just trying to pull up your socks and trying to perform. He has to find that balance, if there was any other player he would’ve been out of the XI, but because he’s Maxwell he’s getting that opportunity,” – Pujara
PBKS ka overall performance IPL 2025 mein kaafi impressive raha hai. Shreyas Iyer ki captaincy mein team ne 6 matches mein 4 jeete hain aur sirf 2 haare hain. Filhaal woh points table mein 4th spot</strong par majbooti se bane hue hain.
PBKS ka agla muqabla hoga RCB ke khilaaf 18 April ko M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru mein – aur fans ko ek zabardast takkar dekhne ko mil sakti hai.
