Chennai Super Kings ke star all-rounder Jamie Overton ne ek dilchasp baat share ki hai jo MS Dhoni ki fan following ka level dikhata hai. IPL 2025 ke dauraan, jab Dhoni batting ke liye aaye, toh Overton itna impress ho gaya ki turant apne dad ko text kiya: “Aapko yeh khud dekhna chahiye!”
Jamie ne bataya ki Chepauk Stadium ka mahaul itna electrifying tha ki unhe laga yeh experience unke family ko bhi lena chahiye. Jab Ravindra Jadeja run-out hua, tab log isliye khush ho gaye kyunki iska matlab tha – Dhoni aane wale hain! Aur jaise hi Mahi pitch par aaye, pura stadium goonj utha.
“I messaged my dad and my agent after the first home game. I was like, ‘You have to come out and experience MS walking out to the middle. [Ravindra] Jadeja got run-out and you had a home crowd cheering for someone to get run-out. I’ve watched Premier League games, plenty of other sports events, and there’s nothing else like that noise,”
Overton ne yeh bhi reveal kiya ki net practice ke dauraan unhone Dhoni se kaafi kuch seekha hai. Unhone Dhoni ke batting style ka bhi zikr kiya – kaise wo apne haathon ko low grip mein rakhte hain, jo Indian pitches ke liye effective hota hai.
“He holds the bat quite low with his hands, whereas I’m more an English or Australian version, with quite high hands. The spinners don’t get as much bounce [in India] so I’m trying to be a bit lower, with my hands a bit more relaxed… I feel like I’m in a good place with my batting,”
IPL 2025 mein CSK ki halat kuch khaas nahi rahi hai. Ruturaj Gaikwad ke injury ke baad Dhoni ne phir se captaincy sambhali, lekin team table ke bottom mein hai aur early elimination ka khatra bana hua hai. Ab dekhna yeh hai ki CSK apna agla match Sunrisers Hyderabad ke against kaise khelti hai – yeh match April 24 ko MA Chidambaram Stadium mein hoga.
Ek baat toh pakki hai – jab tak Dhoni crease par hain, tab tak IPL ka asli magic zinda hai!
