Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ko ek aur karari haar ka samna karna pada IPL 2025 mein, jab Punjab Kings (PBKS) ne unhe M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru mein 5 wickets se hara diya. Lekin match ke baad sabse zyada charcha kisi aur cheez ki nahi, balki Virat Kohli ke ek questionable shot selection ki ho rahi hai.
RCB ke former star aur ex-India cricketer Mohammad Kaif ne Kohli par nishana saadhte hue kaha ki unka shot ekdum ‘uncharacteristic’ tha. Kaif kehte hain ki agar yeh match 6 overs ka hota toh samajh aata, lekin jab 14 overs baaki the, toh Kohli ko thoda sabr dikhana chahiye tha.
“84 deliveries in an innings means that there is time. The shot that Virat Kohli hit, stepping forward, trying to strike a six, he usually does not do all of this. If it were a 20-over game, Kohli would have looked to punch that ball, I can tell you that with guarantee,” Kaif ne Star Sports par kaha.
Kohli sirf 3 balls khel kar ek run banakar Arshdeep Singh ke haathon out ho gaye. Kaif ka maanna hai ki pitch damp thi aur ball ruk kar aa rahi thi, aise mein Kohli jaise experienced player ko thoda time lena chahiye tha.
“That was a ball meant to be punched through the point. But because it was a 14-over game, there was the temptation to play a much more attacking brand of cricket. The pitch was damp, the ball was stopping a bit,” Kaif ne bataya.
“Not only Kohli, but the other batters as well. So, he should have spent some time in the middle, 14 overs is a lot, he must have thought it was a six-over game,” unhone joda.
RCB ki yeh Bengaluru mein tisri haar thi, aur iss IPL edition mein ab tak unhone apne home ground par ek bhi jeet haasil nahi ki hai. Fans ka frustration badhta jaa raha hai, aur experts bhi ab khul kar team ki planning aur execution par sawal uthane lage hain.
