IPL 2025 mein Tuesday ko ek aur high-voltage match dekhne ko mila jab Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ko unke home ground Ekana Stadium mein Punjab Kings (PBKS) ne 8 wickets se karari haar di.
Match ke baad LSG ke captain Rishabh Pant ne apni team ke batting performance par disappointment express kiya. Unhone accept kiya ki 171 ka target defend karne layak nahi tha, aur batting unit ne hi team ko neeche giraya.
PBKS ne chase easily complete kiya, thanks to an explosive start by Prabhsimran Singh, jinhone sirf 34 balls mein 69 runs jod diye, with 9 fours aur 3 sixes. Saath hi captain Shreyas Iyer ne bhi solid knock khela, 30 balls mein 52 runs aur Nehal Wadhera ne 25 balls mein 43 runs ke saath finishing touch diya.
“It (the total) wasn’t enough, we were 20-25 runs short, but that’s part and parcel of the game. Still assessing the conditions at our home ground. It’s always going to be difficult to get a big total when you lose early wickets, but each and every player is trying hard to take the game forward. The idea was to get a slow wicket. I think the slower balls were sticking in. We got to learn from this game and move forward. There are a lot of positives, can’t say much,”
– Rishabh Pant, post-match presentation
Pant ka kehna tha ki pitch thodi slow thi, aur plan ye tha ki pitch se advantage liya jaaye. Lekin early wickets girte hi team pressure mein aa gayi, aur total defend karna mushkil ho gaya.
Is defeat ke baad LSG ko table mein position sudharne ke liye next matches mein kuch solid performances deni hongi. Pant ne kaha ki team seekh rahi hai, aur har match se kuch na kuch positive leke aage badhegi.
