Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals (RR) ke against match-fixing ke ilzaam ek naye controversy ka hissa ban gaye hain. Yeh allegations kisi game ki performance par nahi, balki complimentary tickets na milne ke chakkar mein uthaye gaye hain — yeh claim kiya gaya hai ek recent report mein.
Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ke ad-hoc committee convenor Jaideep Bihani ne RR par match-fixing ka ilzaam lagaya. Lekin Royals ne isse turant jhootha batate hue, ek strong-worded letter likh kar Bihani ke against action ki demand ki hai.
“Season ke start mein BCCI ne clear instructions diye the ki RCA dissolve ho chuki hai, aur ab hum Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) ke through hi arrangements karenge,” ek RR insider ne TOI ko bataya.
“RCA ad-hoc committee ke kuch disgruntled members 1000 se zyada complimentary tickets maang rahe the. Humne in demands ko reject kar diya. Bas, isi wajah se poora drama khada kiya gaya hai,” insider ne further clarify kiya.
Reports ke mutabik, pehle RCA ko har home match ke liye approx 1,800 complimentary tickets milte the. Ab yeh number 1,000-1,200 ke beech aa gaya hai. Waise hi ek situation Sunrisers Hyderabad aur Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) ke beech bhi bani thi, lekin wahan match-fixing ke allegations nahi aaye.
BCCI ne bhi Bihani ke accusations ko drama bataya hai. Unka kehna hai ki ye sirf attention paane ka ek tarika hai, especially jab elections pass mein hain.
“RCA dissolve ho chuki hai aur ek ad-hoc committee bani hai. IPL ke season mein drama natural hai. Har koi limelight mein aana chahta hai. BCCI ki anti-corruption unit 24×7 kaam karti hai. In allegations mein koi sachai nahi hai,” ek BCCI official ne kaha, anonymity ki condition par.
Iske alawa, BJP MLA Bihani ne yeh bhi objection uthaya ki IPL ke home matches ke management mein RCA ka koi role nahi hai. Unka kehna hai ki RR aur Zila Parishad ne RCA ko ignore kiya hai, jabki stadium usage ke liye MoU ka absence sirf ek excuse hai.
“Ad-hoc committee ko state government ne appoint kiya tha aur unka term ab tak paanch baar extend ho chuka hai. Hum har competition ko smoothly conduct karte hain. IPL aate hi Zila Parishad ne control le liya. RR ke excuses MoU ke upar based hain, lekin bina MoU ke bhi paisa Zila Parishad ko diya ja raha hai,” Bihani ne News18 Rajasthan se kaha.
RR ka aage ka schedule: Abhi RR points table mein 8th position par hai, sirf 8 matches mein 2 jeet ke saath. Agla match hoga April 24 ko Royal Challengers Bengaluru ke against, uske baad April 28 ko wapas Jaipur mein Gujarat Titans ke khilaaf.
