Sai Sudharsan Joins AB De Villiers in This Epic IPL Record – Here’s How!

In a jaw-dropping display of consistency and power, Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans (GT) has made history by becoming the second player ever to score five consecutive innings of 50+ runs at the same venue in IPL history. And guess what? He did this in the IPL 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad!

Sai, the left-handed opener, has been in red-hot form this season, and his latest performance was nothing short of sensational. After a solid start to the innings with Shubman Gill (who got out early), Sudharsan took charge of the game, showing off his incredible batting skills. He didn’t just get to another half-century – he did it with flair, bringing up his 50 in just 32 balls.

In this match, Sudharsan scored a blistering 82 runs off 53 balls, continuing his streak of solid performances in Ahmedabad. His last five innings at this very venue have been absolutely stellar: 82* (not out), 63, 74, 103, and now 84* (not out). Talk about consistency!

By reaching this impressive milestone, Sudharsan joins the legendary AB de Villiers as only the second player to score five consecutive 50+ runs at a single venue in IPL history. The only other player to achieve this feat was de Villiers, who did it for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium between 2018-2019.

As the IPL 2025 continues to unfold, Sudharsan’s rise as one of the most reliable batters in the tournament is becoming impossible to ignore. His performances are not just entertaining but also setting new records in the league!
